Back from the range. Just put another 100 rounds through my EDC.

S&W Sheild Plus OR I have put around 500 rounds trouble free and it ready to carry.

I will put a red dot on it when a get around to buying a red dot.

The red dot will make you more accurate on longer-range shots.

The kind of shot you would be EXTREMELY unlikely to ever take with that sort of gun in self-defense.

I’ve got a nice dot-sight on a G17. I’ll keep it for the novelty of it. Unlikely I’ll ever EDC such a thing. Glad I got one, because it convinced me I don’t need another one.

If I ever got into the multi-target rapid-fire pistol games, I’m sure a dot-sight would heighten my scores.

While I agree that most shootings are literally within spitting distance, but a guy recently took down an active shooter at 40 yards with his Glock.

Not sure about the red dot but this is my only pistol that is set up to take a red dot and not sure I want to spend the money for milling any of my other pistols.

Things are just so crazy these days that I feel the need to up my round count that being the reason for going from my Ruger LC9 to the Shield.

Red dots are nice on some pistols. I have Burris FF3's on a couple of .22 pistols and they work great for squirrel hunting but after using them for a while I don't want one on my carry guns.

Probably just me but I don't find the dot as quick as I find the front sight on pistols.

A street hassle will usually be like a knife fight in a phone booth , we let people close the distance on us too much ( even in so called free states )

After shooting it a good bit and being seriously impressed with this little S&W Shield + I bought recently I installed a set of XS F8 night sights on it and man what a difference from the stock sights!

Bringing the pistol up from the holster to firing position and the front sight catches my eye instantly.

XS Sights F8 Tritium

Side note- Whoever installs the rear sights at the factory is a stout sumbitch, It took some heavy cranking on the sight pusher to remove the factory original.

I'm loving this Shield + but I kinda' feel like I'm cheating on my old .38 Super when I carry the little Smith.

I sold all of my firearms. I tried white guilt for awhile, but it was too heavy. Now my only EDC is my white privilege, which I check daily & top off as needed. Nobody, and I mean nobody, fucks with me because I open carry it.
UPDATE: I still open carry my white privilege, but I added unrepentant rage as a backup due to the temperature of our crumbling society. It was pretty simple to add to my EDC. Concealed, weak-side draw reversed hammer grip or cross draw from strong side should my white privilege be compromised. Stay frosty, my friends.

Do you prefer the right, left or dual carry?
