I am going to make it easy and label everything and document the condition via photographs.
I did just that. Didn't get my part back though. I wrote an email but I don't have much hope that I'll get it back since it's been 90 days.

I'm just amazed that they actually sent me three useable receivers and I'm willing to call it quits.

Talked about for years? It might be years before some of us see our stuff!
I was going to mention that but I didn't want to pour salt in the wound! :shades:

Good News.

My R-1 marked Receiver that was shipped 07/20 landed in my lap Today.

The overall Receiver has not had any edges broke nor deburred. Not an issue
for me, a few Files and some Stone work, it is gonig to be Blasted,Parked and Painted.

Initial once over:

- No welded Feed ramps.
- The Barrel threads are good,Hand times to 9 O'clock.
- Gas Tube Nut Threads are good, centered as well
- Cocking Handle slot is tight with a new Handle.
- Bolt Rail slots are good, on the same plane.
- Extractor relief cut is good.
- BHO Bore to Spec.
-BHO/Mag catch pivot pin fits properly.
- Engraving is light on the R-1, But okay.

Bad News.

- Locking Shoulder bore is Jacked. Very rough and the largest Pin Gauge
that fits is a 0.286- .
I have Reamers and can do this or I might just use it for a dedicated .22
from the .22lr Kit Group Buy. Or?????????

It appears some did indeed ship. Good Luck to the remaining souls.

For the most part that sounds good EF. Hopefully you'll be able to work with it. Just for fun, is there any way you could post a few picts of your receiver?

I have some larger sized locking shoulders if any of you need them for your Entreprise build. 263 - .267

Ironworker I do believe you asked my advice on this group buy and I told you the same thing Adam762 did "stay the hell away from Entreprise receivers!!!!" and you still bought!!!
What gives you just a glutten for punishment?

This whole thing reminds me of a cartoon I had in my office for 10 years. Two customers stand in front of a butcher's counter and there is a sign which reads, "All Gray Meat - 50% OFF." One customer is saying to the other, "I know, I know; repulsive, but at the same time intriguing."

WTF!!! is my R1 receiver? First Batch!!!!!!!

When you do get it be prepared to send it back for a replacement

I'm thinking they pass off all the returned & rejected fcuk-ups on to other buyers hoping they won't figure out their "new" receiver is a turd.... When you get it INSPECT EVERYTHING then inspect it again

Good luck brother

WTF usually means WHAT the F#$%? However, in this application it means WHERE the F%$#! are our receivers?
What the F#ck!
Where the F#ck!
When the F#ck!
Who the F#ck!
Why the F#ck!

Pick your outrage; pretty much interchangeble at this point.

Yeah, I feel the pain. I'm still waiting on my T48 receiver from the first run. I'm inspired, if I get my money back, to just buy a DSA rifle already built, or say screw it and build an AR-10.

For what its worth, I called Friday. I spoke to Henry (maybe?) and he doesn't know exactly what all shipped two + weeks ago when Arnold said my receiver shipped. And Arnold has been out for a week. He did say that he had one T48 receiver in the shop, in the white...got disconnected before we could figure out if it was mine or not...

I'm sorry you all had to find out the hard way. I posted my concerns 10/31/2010 after I saw BIG50 pipe up....our posts and others were moved out of the thread.

October 31, 2010 11:33 Post #5

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm with BIG50.....My FFL ordered a receiver from Entreprise about 18 months ago. I looked it over before we started the build. Ray Charles could see that the feed ramps were messed up. One side of the ramp cut was way off center. He sent it back to them. They decided that there was nothing wrong with it and charged him a 20% restocking fee. Their receivers have always been inconsistent in quality, but what is always consistent is their customer service.....

Called yesterday...talked to Arnold. So, only the R1's went out three weeks ago, not the T48's as I was previously informed. Supposedly, the T48's are still tied up at the black oxide shop. Should be back to them in a week or so. I'm to call in a week and talk to Walter about getting email notification and a tracking number when it does ship. Anybody wanna wager how long one week is going to be?

So brasshound just fell off the side of the earth?

Last post on falfiles was in April
I'm guessing that he's probably afraid to show himself at this point. Although aren't the few receivers that are trickling out to the GB members still going through BH's FFL?
