I received this message today from Arnold:

"...the R1's got shipped out to Ross earlier this week. He should be getting them any day now... "

Has anyone heard from Ross aka Brasshound ?

Wonder if he'll make a re-appearance on the FILES ?
They are shipping mine directly to my FFL.

Got it Monday, i live in NC - Bro the receiver is absolutely beautiful, topcover fit is as good as a DSA, lower fits nice-n-tight, engraving's near perfect, NO machineing marks & just about every surface has been machined!! but the best part....... NO WELDS & NO PITTING!!!!!!! - Now all i need is a complete parts kit!!!

Congrats Ironworker! Just shows what Entreprise CAN do if they just get their act together. Still, the incredibly long wait period is bad for business and will probably prevent me from buying another, though I'm more than pleased with my BGS receiver.

Good on you, IW. Should build into a nice shooter. My rnd count is about 400 w/o a malf, with reloads, W-W white box, RG, Port ond UMC. I'm happy with it, but I wouldn't go through all this shit again. YMMV.

WOW! I have away from this board for a while and this mess is still going on? Does Entreprise have one guy milling these with his $4000 Grizzly mill? This is absolutely messed up, followed by excuse after excuse and no product for several folks. I got lucky and got one that worked and was only 2 months late.

I had a bolt rifle built by a very good (and busy) smith in less time than these people are waiting for their receivers. Hell, I ordered a Milt Sparks holster yesterday and I would bet I will have it before Eprise can shit out the last POS receiver for this group buy.

I will NEVER buy ANY product from E-prise again.

just wanted to update yall... i sent 18 receivers out this morning. i just wanted to let you know as well, when i was out for 2 weeks.. i was not incharge with the engraved serials with this group. so some of the engraving isnt my work, a few of them are... they are good, but not my %100 perfection. there are no pourosity issues, nor welds on feedramps... everythings good.

Serials of receivers that got sent today:

5846b, 2426, 35788, 5871b, 4826, 4191, 4300, 4009, 2146, 4181, 23777, 3505, 6911, 37469, 6455, 36684, 28336, 3383.

theres a few that arent shown above that needed engraving an will be going out soon.

i also spoke with ross, hes having pc issues, not sure if anyone is attempting to contact him, but he wanted me to post this issue and he will try an get his pc fixed asap.

we will be sending another small batch of receivers within the week of mainly R1's and T48's, and a few that didnt get sent out with the group that needed some work...

Arnold
My BGS and G1 were supposedly shipped to Ross in May according to this post. I called yestarday for an update thinking my Aussie and 1A1 were the hold up. Now it appears my BGS and G1 never shipped and somehow Ross has my Aussie. Who knows about my 1A1, it's almost laughable at this point. Maybe I'll get some nice Christmas presents.

My FFL has my receiver. I'll post some information once I pick it up. I had a conversation with them regrading the para cut before it shipped. They almost shipped a regular receiver. I hope they got it right.

3505, 6911, ...... 6455, were my "do-over" receivers. They were as Arnold said, no rewelds and barrels timed correctly, charging handle slots correct dimensions, etc.

Even though it was my money to begin with, I feel as though I bought a $1,000 winning scratch off ticket.

This is a sampling (from just last two pages of the thread) of the testimonials for Entreprise's performance on this group buy. Dissatisfied customers, even those who (finally) received a "usable" product, will no longer consider doing business with Entreprise again. From a business perspective, how could you view this as anything but a total failure?!

I believe there is a bright side to this dismal experiment, however. Coonan's resuming manufacture of Type 1's may have been a direct result of E-prise's inability to produce quality product in a reasonable time frame. Coonan's "trust" rating seems to have risen in direct proportion to E'prise's abyssmal plunge.

+2 - Damn if this 1A1 receiver isn't near flawless but there is NO WAY I'll ever go thru BULLSHIT this deep again.............

Enterprise must think that a welded, porosity filled & poorly machined receiver is completely acceptable & a perfectly safe base to build a centerfire rifle on - I've got news for em'........ IT'S NOT :skull: :skull: :skull:

ENTERPRISE i do appreciate my receivers but WTF guys  How about making a decent receiver instead of cutting corners in a pathetic attempt to save a little $$$$ - ALL YOUR DOING IS FCUKING YOURSELFS by sending out JUNK

ARNOLD - Thanks for the replacement receiver bro

I picked mine up today.

No welding, no pits, but there are a few issues they need to fix.

1) No para cut, even after speaking to them before it shipped.

2) I can't thread my barrel further than 2.5 revolutions by hand. The threads seem to have flat spots at 11 and 1 oclock. Is that normal?

3) The serial number is very, very light. I can barely read it. I am not sure this will meet the depth requirement after I "park" and paint.

4) The feed ramps don't match. (Minor issue)

5) There is a high area (unmachined area) that seems to be hanging up the bolt on both sides near the chamber and a better picture of the feed ramps.
