The Jews got it right.............they are the foundation of Judeo-Christian-Muslim religions...all include the old Testament.

Moses, beating the shit out of miscreants with 40+1 lashes, probably did not come without a lot of provocation.

Becoming a TRUE Christian does not mean that you should never say anything that might offend someone or hurt someone else's feelings.

Jesus preached to hurt people's feelings and to offend many people. And He did.
The Gospel is offensive on it's entirety....offensive to this fallen World.
He knew He was going to hurt them.

Sometimes our love for God and our fellow Christians, and obedience to God's Word compel us to speak words that may hurt someone's feelings or offend them. Some people call this "tough love."

Faithful are the wounds of a friend,

But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Here's what I know:

Only God judges whether or not a person is a True Christian or not.

No one here on earth knows, and no one here on earth gets to claim they know or judge the situation.

Becoming a TRUE Christian does not mean that you should not enjoy any earthly pleasures.

God created all of the good, wholesome, enjoyable, and fun things we have on this earth as a blessing for us to enjoy.

A TRUE Christian should know that the key is not holding on to these earthly things too tightly. We should grasp and enjoy our blessings with our palms held open and tilted up.

Becoming a True Christian is NOT thinking that now you should not associate with unbelievers.

Yes, it is true that you may have to break off some of the unhealthy relationships you have had with people from your past life of sin. Not because you don't like 'em anymore
but because you may need to do this until you are strong enough to resist the temptations of your old lifestyle sins.

How will we attract those who need a Savior, if we don't build relationships with them?

What you should NOT associate is with Evil people, GOD-hating people,
anti-Christ people.....but merely unbelievers you should...you live in this World
where you have co-workers, neighbors and business staff that you
need to associate to spread GOD's word.

I do not have a past life of sin to atone for.

Associating with others, who may not have your personal standards, is good for all, for you become a role model to them.

Abandonning life,......... and your work at the FBI,............or your office or at a Construction Company........., because of "THOSE FILTHY WHORES", and sex addicts everywhere, consumed with "sex sex sex in the printer room and bathrooms, and other human weaknesses" such as stealing from people, is part of your duty, to present as a witness for God, and to present a role model aspect.
People notice...even the Mafia.

Some are beyond salvage, like Brandon and Nina Jankowicz, who are the devils own.

Becoming a True Christian is NOT expecting that you will always feel close to God.

At first you may feel very close to God. Your eyes have just been opened to a brand new, exciting born again life with God. But, you should be prepared for dry seasons in your walk with God....they are bound to come.

You should praise to God in the midst of spiritual times of drought. He'll be there.

Becoming a True Christian does not mean that you become excessively Preachy.
Many riff-raff unbelievers and God-haters say that Christians they know always try to preach to them. This makes them resist the idea of meeting God more.
But the truth of the matter is that they resist GOD's word for their entire life.

There may be a little truth to some Preachy Christians, but that is only because every Christian's duty is to spread the gospel and invite more people to God's church.

Some may come across too preachy, but behind it all is a genuine intention to help someone meet and grow
close to God.

Until you have ranted and raved at God for some reason, you have not lived. I remember clearly as a kid of 4 years old, being mad at God.

I finally realized that it was me, not God. He kept me anyway.

Same as a writer.......a person is not a writer until he has written something really sexually raunchy and violent..something that "mom" would be very upset about and God.

Tearing down personal mental barriers, and becoming a positive role model, takes time and experience to understand the other fellow.

Becoming a True Christian does not mean that you are based on blind faith, but rather your faith is based on evidence. Blind faith, superstition, hollywood movies, little green martians and all of that atheist garbage is not for the the true Christian.

Christianity is overwhelmingly supported by reason, evidence, and scientific inquiry.

Becoming a True Christian does not mean that you will get to heaven based on how good you are here on earth. Very far from it.

Salvation is a Gift ....not a reward.

I’m surprised that someone hasn’t produced a movie on the mythology of duh biBle ala’ game of thrones-ish.

It has pissed off gods and demons and angels and other creepy creatures destroying all kinds of shit because they don’t like it not to mention all the horrors of what’s gonna be done to you if you don’t comply.
Maybe if the movie was made in the fashion of the seven voyages of Sinbad the sailor or, the voyage of Odysseus, The labor’s of Hercules. You know, make it like with a kraken of sorts whenever Michael or, Metatron goes all holy destructive. Just depict all of the violence in duh good book with all the equality used in producing other mythological movies.

just a thought…

Becoming a True Christian is not because he, or she, is good.
In fact, we become Christians because we recognize that we are not good. We are sinners.
The redemption of the Christian is based on grace and faith, not one's own righteousness.

You qualify for sure!!

SO----- the good do not go to heaven, only the sinners?
THAT IS CALLED HELL....... believe it or not.
You have MIXED UP GOD'S REFORM SCHOOL, with the better afterlife.

The entire Judeao-Christian-Muslim basis of religious philosophy, is that of the ten commandments and to be good or burn..........(insane get a pass, I will bet). Even Bhuddism and the cults all encourage good behavior or earn bad karma.............the entire world seems to run on the karmic laws of balance, p[unishment, retribution and good fortune, run by the unseen........ and bad luck earned by bad behavior.

I refer you to read the "DIVINE COMEDY" BY DANTE......

Pics of his conception of hell, included pharisees and devil lovers..... and the morally/intellectually twisted,................. and insane

Enjoy your stay with Al Capone and John Wayne Gacy.........they will be great Bridge companions, for you.

Becoming a TRUE Christian does not mean that you are going to judge everybody
and on everything.
True Christians are mandated , by the Word of GOD, to judge their Christian brothers specifically.
Judge them righteously and not based on appearance or
hypocritically.
First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from
your brother's eye. Judge in the same measure that you will not be judged
in return.

We are not to sit in Jury duty and judge matters which are not of the Church of Christ.
Specially about money and material things.

We take the example of Jesus when He was asked to judge a case of inheritance He refused.

What a dog!!

So now you admit to a PERVASIVE personal lust for riches, wealth, greed, and getting as much $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and fine material goods, by hook or crook as you can? ........as you cannot be judged by a jury or mankind...........FOR LARCENY/THEFT?..only by your twisted version of a god, who only lets sinners into his many mansions?
You may belong on Wall St as a trader, or were.

Many books like Elmer Gantry, and the real life story of Jim and Tammy Fay Baker-----two greedy ----dogs who milked the congregations, for their personal wealth- also saying that they could not be judged by a jury or mankind.....................BUT THEY WERE!!

It seems to be in retrospect, with your character and ethics, and gunslinging on display, that you can only be a childless/family less, IRS agent or an FBI Agent.........retired and put out to pasture for cause.

At least our J man presents logical arguments ,and he is a prince of debate.

HOW THE F, are you waging war against sin?

The 7 deadly sins are seen everyday at Burger King...gluttony, sloth.are you there counseling them?

OR. ARE YOU IN LAS VEGAS, counseling gamblers? .."greed, envy, wrath"
Are you counseling those big boobed Chorus girls there, with hands on approach with a bible?

Are you counseling BLM in Chicago? Lots of wrath there.

You are apparently a fraud, except possibly in your own mind........

You're new here, so I'm going to give this a one-time pass.

You don't have to be a believer (in anything - my religion or otherwise...), but don't say shit like that here.
You need to look at the guys join number. He's far from new. You're the new one and you've obviously not read very many posts. :)

As per myself, I'm going to Tir na Nog when I pass on. Partying, hunting with my dogs, fishing, etc. it's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. :)

Becoming a TRUE Christian does not mean that you are going to have to debate
the Word of God with non-believers, atheists and "Christians-in-name-only".

The Word of God is not debatable.
Your FAITH is not debatable.
Everyone practices their FAITH and beliefs in their own way.
Don't allow strangers, who don't matter to your Christian spirituality,
challenge your FAITH.

True Christians must stick to their convictions to the end....this is biblical.

Becoming a TRUE Christian does not mean that you are now going to
bury your head in the sand or hide your beliefs beneath the floorboards.
No. Those are expectations of the filthy atheists World view.
They have no understanding of our calling to Christ.

Jesus said that we are to be salt and the light of this World....the influencers.
