There are several things wrong with Jeep:

#1 They still go to the bank on the name "Jeep", even though nowadays Jeeps are a far cry from what they were in WW2.

#2 They are not built by Toyota or another reputable auto maker.

Had a 2010 FJ Cruiser TRD Trail Teams Edition.
Traded it in for the Jeep.
Don’t regret it.
As I’ve said, no real problems with the Jeep, and it’s held its value far better than the ‘yota.
And, I’ve also been known to say that it’s good that we don’t all have the same tastes.
If we did, everyone would be riding my bike and fuckin’ my ol’ lady.
😏😎😜

Dunno about the last statement. FJs are quite expensive and a cult these days.

I was in NV all last week and had a full size car reserved. At the counter they said they were out of full size cars, would I mind driving an SUV? I said "no problem". They do the paperwork and hand me the keys. It was a 4-door Jeep Wrangler. It confirmed my thoughts in the OP.

Good looking rig, check. Cool factor, check. Shitty highway vehicle, check.

I don't recall if I mentioned this with the Gladiator, but it had an intermittent problem with the display going out. When it happened, no radio and no in-car phone connection. The Wrangler this week had the same problem which is an item of note for anyone looking at these. Possible coincidence I suppose, but my experience is now two for two with the same electronic issue.

…..being a Jeep is not an “intermittent problem” is there there from the moment it rolls off the production line :) :D

Call me a dinosaur,I don't care, but I could never make the leap to anything past the CJ. Wife had a "Jeep" Cherokee, like a 90-something,with the 4.0,but is really wasn't a Jeep. A unibody? Lame. I don't even know what models Dodge now makes.went to a party a couple weeks ago,guy shows me his new "Jeep"..thing had a factory built 392 ci engine. That thing must have weighed 7,000 pounds. Literally nothing accessible. It's sad when the Roxor was closer to the real thing than what chrysler pukes out these days.
