HELP! PK-A Venezuela only works in the COLD!

So I recently took delivery of a great condition PK-A Venezuela. The optic only works on setting 4. Every other setting turns it off UNLESS I put it in the fridge or freezer for 20 or so minutes. This allows all the settings to work. I'm assuming this has to do with contraction of metal when chilled.

Anybody else experience this before or have any ideas? I'm all ears as this is just...weird.

I don't know anything about that optic, but I have seen that with radios and other electronics before. Usually related to a cold solder joint and sometimes difficult to locate the issue. Disassemble and re-flow any solder you can see usually fixes it. In this case, seems to be a problem in the switch itself or perhaps in another board if there's a ribbon cable going from the switch to another board.
