Bill, I have one stock left, and I think it would be a awesome match to your wood on your BGS.... kind of hard to tell with the lighting but it is a darker stock.

I wonder then why Interordnance raised the ire of the ATF for selling saw cut kits with all the receiver pieces included?

Demil legallity depends on when the demil took place. As long as it corresponds to the ATF demil regulations at the time of demil, it is technically a legal demil. Without documentation it's obviously hard to prove when a rifle was demilled, so still some gray area there, as with most ATF rulings.

But yes, today ATF requires 3 torch cuts through specific areas of the receiver, removing at least .25" of material with each cut.

Matching numbers Bundesgrenzschutz Model B Kit(2K) on DSA Forged G1 Receiver. Adam762 Barrel Conversion, FN Type A Buttstock that I restored/BM PG, and a few new components, as originals were worn. Will most likely get fresh hot blue and still needs a matching english walnut CH.

If I don't send for hot blue, I might sell rifle as it sits.

If you are speaking of the BGS conversions, yes. He has one of mine right now.

I find myself incredibly sad today. I finally came back to the files after the conversion, and, as expected, lots of the beautiful BGS FAL pictures are gone. I used to come to this thread for my gun porn, to pore over the pictures and plan what my next BGS rebuild was going to look like.

If anyone still has their pictures that were posted to this thread that have now disappeared, could they please repost them. I love me some exquisite beauties that were posted here.

I'll help a fellow FAL falnatic. This is one of my favorite rifles. I built it with my buddy Jeff, one of the best builders anywhere. Special run Enterprise matching number receiver. Classic rifle in a classic FALfiles picture. If this doesn't get you over the hump I can post my fav G1s and Stg.

Thanks, Rhino, I think that is possibly the prettiest wood I have seen on a BGS. Just seeing something that beautiful is a great start to my day. There's just something about the BGS rifles that makes them my favorite FALs. (of course nice wood on Aussies is great, too.)

Thanks, but I know there is better wood on this site. Those wood pictures are what actually inspired me to jump into FALs so long ago. I can't hardly believe it's been 18 years, I have gotten so much enjoyment out of this site and these rifles, I hope my children enjoy them, and this site, after I'm gone.

Yes, that is the original wood that came in the kit, and thank you, but there are folks on this site whose original BGS wood puts mine to shame. We just need to convince them to post. I would enjoy seeing it again.
