Stroke it right on through. Don’t stack the hammer/trigger like a sweetly tuned S&W model 15. Poke it out there like Cosner in Open Range. Use it as the tool it’s intended for cause, the bullseye will be big and, likely close. Buy some snap caps, practice the discipline. Buy some boolitz, go to the range and, continue to practice the discipline. Think about the discipline during idle moments. It’s a very serious thing to contemplate. Wasn’t that the question?

If you have to buy new check out the executive Taurus 856. Six shots and it fits a j frame holster. Trigger is butter smooth and the fit and finish are ahead of a modern smith and there is no Hillary hole. https://www.taurususa.com/executivegrade/taurus-856-executive-grade

I took your advice and bought some pants from American Jean Co. and they have a large "change pocket / watch pocket" which perfectly fits my Kahr MK9.My 442 rides in a $10 DeSantis sticky pocket holster when I’m not wearing my blue jeans with the deep fifth (“watch”) pocket.

Typically I carry the Bodyguard 380 when I’m wearing my jeans.

No holster required and super comfy in all situations, plus eminently concealed when wearing almost any shirt...I love these jeans - everything is roomy and well sewn and riveted.
I regularly shoot and enjoy several fine 1950s Smith revolvers ranging from 22 to 45 caliber but rarely carry any of them.
Single or double action, they are the sweetest ever.
