“Name this Part…”

Hello Everyone!

As I finally started digging through my Parts Bins, I discovered this gadget that was placed in the “unknown device” container.

I am still not sure of what it is…heck it might not even go to a FAL….who knows?

Can anyone recognize & identify this part right off hand?

After perusing a couple of FAL schematics, I tink it looks like a "Plunger, cocking handle" for an inch pattern folding cocking handle.
Just my 2¢

Shaft part seems awfully long for inch cocking handle ( going by memory) and not pointy enough for the recess grove in the handle slide

I have built a couple few FALs in the past, and couldn’t recall seeing that part during the process. Not sure where I acquired it…most likely in a previous parts purchase.

I guess the best thing is to include it free within my next sell of parts and let the new owner revel with his new rare and super valuable plunger part. !

Who knows…that darn thing could have already been circling the Globe as a “treasured hand me down…”

Correct, not FAL or L1A1.

Head is a little rounded for AKS74U muzzle device plunger and shaft would need a cut for pin retainer.

Hard to say but that looks like a Beretta safety plunger. They use similar shaped parts of various sizes across different models they produce.
